Huawei unveiled a new sub-brand called Ultimate Design at an event in China. The new brand, which will focus on the company’s special production models, will include previous devices such as the Mate 50 Porsche Design.
A new era begins with Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design
Huawei, which wants to be the leader in the premium smartphone segment, unveiled its new brand for “luxury and powerful” devices. The first model of this brand, which will produce special devices under the name Ultimate Design, was the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design.
Huawei believes Ultimate Design will represent the pinnacle of aesthetics, craftsmanship and innovation in mobile technologies. Speaking at the event, Huawei CEO Richard Yu said it will appeal to those looking for the best in design and performance. Described as “the perfect version of Huawei”, this brand will appeal to the premium market.
Huawei has previously partnered with Porsche Design for luxury smartphones. But with Ultimate Design, the company will have full control over the design and branding of its exclusive models.
It is unclear whether the collaboration with Porsche Design will continue. However, analysts said that with this move, Huawei avoided using the Porsche license. This means it wants to reduce costs.
The Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design is said to be Huawei’s “most elegant” phone ever. The model, which will keep pace with the Mate 60 series in terms of hardware, has a Kirin 9000s chipset and ceramic coating.
It also offers two color options, red and black. The 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version of the device starts at 1600 dollars.
